Empowering Youth to Manage Money with Confidence and Purpose

Descriptions

FLEC’s Financial Management & Budgeting Training is designed to teach students ages 14–25 the essential skills of managing their money wisely—helping them build confidence, independence, and financial literacy as they prepare for adulthood.

This hands-on, interactive training is offered during Saturday sessions (up to 4x per month, 3 hours each) and school breaks (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter), and can be provided as a standalone workshop or integrated into our full Career Training program.

Creating a personal budget
Banking basics: savings, checking, debit vs. credit
Smart spending habits
Saving for short- and long-term goals
Introduction to credit and loans
Avoiding scams and financial pitfalls
Using budgeting tools and apps
Exploring financial independence (housing, transportation, and daily living expenses)
